Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Meghna Gulzar has donned the director's hat for Talwar, a story based on a true incident and the film is already going places even before its mainstream release. The film starring Irrfan Khan and Tabu in lead roles will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Apparently, the movie has been re-titled as Guilty for the English audience and it was selected by the members of the festival for screening it in the Special Presentations section along with 35 other movies in the category. The film in question is based on one of the most shocking crimes of the country, a double murder case of the 14 year old Aarushi Talwar and their domestic servant, Hemraj at Noida, Delhi. After a trial that stretched for over a year, Aarushi's parents, Nupur and Rajesh Talwar, who were dentists by profession, were convicted for their daughter and the servant's murder.

As for the film, Talwar also stars Neeraj Kabi, Konkana Sen Sharma among others. Produced by Junglee Motion Pictures, the film is slated to release on October 2, 2015.
