USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…All of a sudden, S. S. Rajamouli is the most coveted film director in India. The Bahubali director is being wooed, pampered, seduced, cajoled and coaxed by the biggest names in Bollywood to direct a film.

Apparently, Karan Johar, who distributed the dubbed Hindi version of Bahubali and has made heftier profits from it than all the other recent Johar/Dharma Productions put together, has offered Rajamouli a sum close to Rs. 20 crores to direct a Hindi film.

Other producers desirous of relishing the Rajamouli magic in Mumbai are Sajid Nadiadwala, Madhu Mantena (who has the remake rights of Rajamouli's Magadheera), UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapur and Eros Entertainment's Sunil Lulla.

Says a source close to the director, "Raja is being chased by every important producer in Bollywood, with staggeringly hefty remunerations. But when has he ever been swayed by money? He was offered the chance to direct Rowdy Rathore by producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali four years ago. But, Raja was committed to doing Bahubali with Prabhas. Now, he's committed to making the sequel with the same actor although Bollywood wants him to do the sequel with Hrithik Roshan or Akshay Kumar. But Raja is not tempted."

I asked him about Bahubali becoming the biggest blockbuster in the history of Indian cinema and Rajamouli replied, "All of us aspire to be successful. Becoming the biggest success is incidental."
