USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Powerhouse performer Vidya Balan has been approached to host TED Talks on television in India. In a unique format, TED America is being brought to Indian television and the actress is their first and only choice to host the show in the country.
TED is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan "Ideas Worth Spreading". TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics – from science to business to global issues – in more than 100 languages.
Sources reveal that the foundation wants to do a Hindi television show to cater to the Indian market and they are currently in talks with a leading GEC to air the show. Apparently Vidya is extremely excited to be part of this especially since the agenda of the show is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.
