USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The feisty Tapsee Pannu last seen kicking Sushant Singh's butt in Neeraj Pandey's Baby is now the brand ambassador for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).
And the athletic actress is very happy with her new assignment.
Says Tapsee, "I have always been inclined towards sports. The difference being, I watch all other sports with my mind but cricket with my heart. Cricket and cinema being the two religions of this country, it's beautiful to see them merge as one during CCL."
Tapsee attributes her cosmopolitan antecedents to her place as the CCL's face. "For me it's very interesting to be a part of CCL as a brand ambassador because I am a Punjabi by birth, started my career in the Tamil and Telugu industries and now I'm a part of Hindi film industry too. So it's as cosmopolitan as it gets. I am looking forward to some superb entertainment in the field by all our heroes."
Reacting to the scarcity of women playing cricket Tapsee says, "I feel the scarcity of women in a majority of sectors in India. It's sad, it's disappointing. We live and work in a male-dominated world and it shall continue to be so, unless we as women realize our potential and put it to optimum use. No one can help us but ourselves."
As far as her acting is concerned Tapsee is busy with two assignments. "I have the bi-lingual Ghazi with Rana Daggubati and an untitled project with Amitabh sir produced by Shoojit Sircar sir. Ghazi is a Telugu-Hindi bi-lingual. We are shooting every shot in Telugu and Hindi as the main actors are known in Hindi as well Telugu cinema, like KK Menon, Atul Kulkarni, Rana and myself."
