Ace photographer Atul Kasbekar is someone most Bollywood celebrities have worked closely with. And now, he has turned producer with a biographical film Neerja directed by Ram Madhvani.

Atul is hoping to showcase this film, which is based on the life of Neerja Bhanot, at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California, USA from where he graduated in 1988.

He was his batch topper, and it is a proud moment for him to take his first full-length biographical film Neerja to the institute. He would also be the first Indian ex-student to do so.

Atul always recalls his days at the institute, and would be visiting it after a long time. He is very excited about the screening, and is looking forward to the response.

When contacted, Atul says, “Brooks Institute formed the foundation of my photographic education, and shaped my career. I owe my success to the instructions received there. It would be a very big moment for me.”

Neerja is  a film based on the heroic story of Neerja Bhanot who sacrificed her life while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986.

Directed by Ram Madhvani and Produced by Fox Star Studio's and Bling Unplugged. The film is all set to release on February 19th, 2016.
