Known for his comic roles in films like Delhi Belly and Nautanki Saala, Kunaal Roy Kapur is all set to turn serious this time in Azhar. The actor will play the role of Emraan Hashmi's lawyer in the upcoming sports drama.
Azhar, the biopic on former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, also includes the scandal that was responsible for the downfall of one of our best cricketers back then. Azharuddin, who was trapped in the match-fixing scandal, was dragged to the court for the same and Kunaal Roy Kapur will be seen defending the cricketer played by Emraan Hashmi with Lara Dutta playing the lawyer against him in the case.
Besides them, Azhar directed by Anthony D'Souza, also stars Nargis Fakhri, Prachi Desai, Gautam Gulati, Manjot Singh among others and is slated to release on May 13.
