Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Sonakshi Sinha has been pretty active on social networking sites of late, posting images of her workout sessions and other general updates as well. Back on the film front, we hear that after backing out of Apoorva Lakhia's Haseena, Sonakshi has given green light to the film Noor.

In fact we hear that Sonakshi Sinha will be seen playing the role of a Karachi based journalist in the film that is based on Saba Imtiaz's novel Karachi, You're Killing Me. While more details of the project are unavailable, Noor will be directed by ad film maker Sunhil Sippy and will release by 2017.

The novel by Saba Imtiaz is said to be a comedy crime-thriller revolving around the life of a young protagonist, Ayesha and about several events of violence and disturbance that take place in the city of Karachi due to poor security measures. It talks about various situations in Karachi and how they affect peoples' lives through social damages as reported by the main character, Ayesha.
