History is now all set to repeat itself with the soon to release Salman Khan starrer Sultan, which again, will be having a mega five day weekend. In fact the film, which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, was initially scheduled to release on Eid in July. However, now we hear that the festival is falling on a Wednesday, two days before expected. Hence instead of the original date of July 8, Sultan will now release on July 6. In commercial terms, the five day weekend from box office perspective will allow the film to rake in more money, thereby setting up new records.

Thanks to this new date, Sultan that also features Anushka Sharma is expected to fare rather well considering the fact that the film is one of this year's most awaited and talked about releases and will now enjoy an extended five day weekend. As for the film, Sultan will feature Salman Khan playing the role of a wrestler and is produced by Yash Raj Films. With this new release date of Sultan, it becomes extremely clear that the movie is all set to emerge as the highest opening weekend grosser of the year.
