USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Just recently Lisa Haydon expressed her views on feminism during an interview with a leading daily. Lisa said that she didn't like the word feminist since she does not think women trying to be men is feminism. Further the actress had added that she also did not believe in being outspoken for the sake of it, or just to prove a point, as feminism is just an overused term and people make too much noise about it for no reason. However the actress didn't stop there, in fact she went on to talk about what being a woman is and what she intends on doing stating that women have been given bodies to produce children, and the spirit and tenderness to take care of people around. While it's fine to be an outspoken and working woman, she doesn't want to be a man but instead looks forward to making dinner for her husband and children and doesn't want to be a career feminist.

However, the model turned actress' words did not go down too well with a certain segment of the people who took to twitter maligning Lisa with tweets like, "Lisa Haydon. The new village idiot. #lisahaydon #feminism", "According to #LisaHaydon feminists: don't make dinner for husband, don't make dinner for child, are outspoken, are noisy, are men", "Dear Lisa Haydon, you're right in thinking that women trying to be men is not feminism. Because it's not. Thank you."

Reacting to these tweets Lisa decided to put the record straight and issued a statement saying, "All the noise being made about my "feminist" comment drives my point home. Instead of making so much noise, we should walk the talk! The best way to change the world is to start with ourselves. Live a life that paves the way for others who lack the same opportunities. I certainly strive to! My life speaks for itself. But, in our quest for feminism, let's stay feminine! As a working woman, who takes pride in ambition and achievement, It's important not forget that we are women made for the greatest role ever – bringing life into this world. And that is something to be proud of! Our true power lies in a gift we've been given that men will never have. Our bodies create life. If feminists have a problem with this. Feminism is not their real issue… Nature is!"
