Goa based animation studio Pala Flicks is expanding its business to a new consultancy model for the Indian CG industry, by offering assistance with new project setup, project review, on-site supervision, pipeline advisory, story/script consulting, IP marketing, and education curriculum analysis. Pala Director Greg Acuna explains, “Our core goals are to assist companies who are considering setting up production in India or already have projects in the works that could benefit working with people who have experience here. We can help both producers and service providers to deal with difficulties that often arise in productions being supervised from far away.” Additional services will aid local producers with IP development through to marketing and educational institutions in understanding how to create world class schools. These services will be managed by Greg Acuna and Pala’s CG supervisor Jonathan Josenhans. Greg has lived in India more than seven years and has over 25 years experience as both a project management consultant and in the media industry as a writer, director and producer, having managed complex technology projects for Paramount Pictures, Arthur Andersen, Exchange Cubed and others bringing to the table everything needed to deal with complicated nature of animation/VFX productions. Jonathan is a graduate of one of the top animation and compositing schools in Germany. He has lived in India almost three years and for the past year has managed Pala’s Earthlings project.
