As Indian athletes struggled to get a medal at the Olympics, wrestler Sakshi Malik made the nation proud by winning the first medal at Rio Olympics 2016. On Wednesday, Sakshi became the first Indian female wrestler to bring home a Bronze medal in the Women's Freestyle 58kg category.

A string of celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Ajay Devgn and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra congratulated Sakshi Malik who finally ended India's wait for a medal.
