Cinema’s first transgender romantic comedy TWO 4 ONE, director Maureen Bradley’s debut feature, will receive a theatrical release alongside a nationwide digital release exclusively on iTunes Canada on July 17th; the film is currently available for pre-order.

The film is a touching romantic comedy telling the story of a female-to-male transgender man who accidentally gets pregnant while trying to help his ex-girlfriend conceive through artificial insemination. TWO 4 ONE has already received multiple awards while playing the Canadian festival circuit, including Best Canadian Film at the Victoria Film Festival and several honours at the Leo Awards. The film has just entered the US film festival circuit and has already seen the silver screen of both Outfest and Frameline39.

Award-winning genderqueer filmmaker Maureen Bradley has made more than forty short films that have screened at festivals around the globe. Bradley developed TWO 4 ONE through the National Screen Institute’s Features First Program where she was awarded the Jim Murphy Filmmaker’s Bursary. She recently produced the short ‘Til Death, which screened at Telefilm’s “Not Short on Talent” program at Cannes 2014. In 2011, Bradley took home the Leo award for Best Web Series for Freshman’s Wharf, on which she served as both Executive Producer and Director. She has won best film awards for her short films Queer Across Canada, Go! Dyke, Go! and Forever at festivals in Santa Barbara, Austin and Chicago. In 1992, long before Ellen DeGeneres’ famous TV coming out, Maureen beat her to it on the CBC TV series Road Movies, where she reached her largest audience of over 10 million viewers. Maureen is currently in development with the dramedy series, Delivery.

The film was supported by Telefilm Canada through its Micro-budget Production Fund, Superchannel, the BC Arts Council, the National Screen Institute, and Telefilm Canada’s Pilot Project IPEDA CANADA to experiment with Global Digital and Festival Distribution.

“Under The Milky Way” handles global digital distribution of the film whereas festivals are managed by “The Festival Agency”.
