This Eid ul Azha seemed very exciting and thrilling for the paki audience as the most awaited movies by Shaan Shahid and Fahad Mustafa were awaited. People made their ways to Pakistani cinemas to acknowledge the hard work of our young talent for their LollyWood flicks.

After the brilliant success of WAAR by Shaan Shahid audience expectations were way too high for his upcoming flick, turning down the hopes of all, unfortunately Operation O21 couldn’t make well through the box office, thus ended disappointing the viewers.

The ageless superstar Shaan and super talented Oscar winner Amina Haq played leading role in the film. Choppy editing and several tonal shifts leave evidence of the change in directors from Summer Nicks to Jami. Overall Dialogues were stilted, out of your depth and distracted from the movie.

The Operation 021 seemed ‘story-less’ to many and the biggest problem is the disconnect between the marketing of the film and the actual product. Seems like the director has over promised and under deliver the value.  On the 2nd day of EID the film was taken off from Karachi cinemas due to the dull response by the spectators.

Contrary to that, the comedy-thriller, Nabeel Qureshi’s ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ hit the cinemas with big bang, targeting the unexplored topic related to the biggest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Humor, acting, star cast, cinematography, execution, script. Performances, direction, music and story line was simply awe-inspiring with positive reviews.

Mohib Mirza added to the review after watching Na Maloom Afraad premiere show. The actor said “we are no less than anyone. In fact it is beyond ones expectations. I congratulate each and everyone for such an amazing movie.”, Farhan Saeed review after Na Maloom Afraad premiere show.

Both the Pakistani Flicks made up to grossing 5.5 million on the first day. Overall it was a great effort and the audience is expecting more movies to be made from our own soil as the trend is settled.

  1. Sorry but i would hve to disagre with you. First there was no such leading role of shan or amna. To me leading role was of Ayub khoso( Abdullah). Mass of Pakistan is so used to indian cinema that they are finding it difficult to get out of it that is why you are calling it storyless because there was no ganas dance or anything. I can go on and on, on the story of this movie which was spectacular. Mass dcomment_IDn’t like it because they couldn’t understand it. I will watch it again because it worth it.

  2. I hav not seen any of these movies becoz it is not released here. But the trailor of Na Maloom Afraad is enough to conclude that it will be full of overacting. I have watched the billi vcomment_IDeo. I don’t know why some people are praising it. Poorly choreographed and its performer Mehwish don’t know how to dance. No grace and upar se ghatia choreography. Sorry if it offended someone but this is the truth.
