I am guilty!!Yes you read it right! I am guilty, guilty of avoiding Michael Crichton books for reasons best known as prejudice! I used to feel his books are not for me and how wrong I am proven.
Pirate Latitudes is the 1st book that I had picked from him and loved it. Set in Jamaica, it takes us to 1665. It talks about the pirate adventure planned by a renowned Privateer called Charles Hunter. A ruthless pirate who has only one thing in mind; to attack a Spanish stronghold & do the impossible i.e. of getting the treasure lying on their coast.
What ensues is a roller coaster ride full of lust, greed, blood, gore & adventure!
Things happen very quickly in the book & make you think o.k. now this has happened what more can happen, what’s left in the plot and that is when the author surprises you with another twist in the tale.
I don’t know how good or bad it is as compared to his other books but I enjoyed it thoroughly!
