When it comes to house cleaning, you would be surprised what vinegar can do for you around the home. This liquid having, acidic qualities can keep small nooks and crannies out of dirt. Some of you might already be using it to carry out certain tasks other than the edible uses of it, for the rest; vinegar has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which allow for vinegar to be used in a number of other situations. Vinegar can be used as an alternative for expensive bathroom cleaners and drain openers. It can kill bacteria, mildews and molds. Just Spray it on plumbing fixtures and rinse it off with water to achieve optimum results. For the bowl, let it sit overnight and then wash it.
While it will help you remove all the above mentioned items, it will also help clean the air of any odors that might be present in your bathroom. Kitchen drains usually have a foul odor. Pour a cup of white vinegar down the drain and then don’t use the drain for an hour or so. Afterwards, pour water to flush the drain. You will have an odor free drain.
If you want to keep your freezers and refrigerators clean, add two cups of vinegar in a gallon of warm water and use it to remove hard stains in your fridge. It will not only clean the surface but it will kill the bacteria as well. You can always use vinegar directly if the stains are too hard to remove.
If you have old tools lying around in the house that have gone rusty, you can fix that problem by put them in a container full of vinegar overnight. Brush the tools the day after to restore their shine and remove the rust from their surface. Your tools will be as good as new.
a cup of vinegar and two tablespoon of baking soda can bring out the original shine of your old and dull silverware in the house. You can use this mixture to clean kitchen taps and pipes as well. Add a cup of white vinegar along with a quarter cup of baking soda when you are washing the whites to whiten the clothes effectively.
Ants pick up the scents left by other ants and this means that one ant leads other ants and so on. Make use of vinegar to get rid of the scent and to keep the ants away. Spray vinegar around doors, windows and any place that you find ants at. This will solve your ants’ problem.
Vinegar is excellent to unclog shower heads as well. Fill a bag with vinegar and wrap it around the shower head. Let it remain like this overnight and clean it with water the next day and your shower is back to full power just like the day it worked when you bought it.
