We’ll be the first to admit that we have a problem hoarding eyeshadow palettes. Of course, we think it’s totally justified: It doesn’t just define your eyes, certain colors can seriously enhance your eye color, too.

For example, colors like green and purple can make brown irises look brighter and bring out hidden flecks of gold and green. The best part? Wearing green on your eyes can be as easy, or complicated, as you like. Opt for a wash of olive on the lids if you’re feeling minimal, or grab a few shades and craft a fresh smoky eye for a more complex take on the hue. The color may seem simple, but the options are endless — and they all flatter.

To get you started, we created a dreamy green smoky eye that can be worn full strength, or muted with a lighter hand, ahead.

This graphic green eye will certainly turn heads. After priming your lids, gently pat a matte green shadow on like you see here, then extend the shape into a slight wing. Line your lower lashline with the same shade and add a hit of black on your waterline for more allure.
