In case the holiday music dominating the airwaves hadn’t already clued you in — the glitzy season is here, folks. And, with the merrymaking in full swing, many of us find our calendars quickly filling with an insane range of holiday functions. From friendly gatherings to formal galas, there is plenty of cause for celebration. But, even if you finally — and we mean finally — found that perfect party dress, you might still be asking …what about my face?
Lucky for us, San Francisco makeup artist Marisa Perel pulled from the season’s hottest trends and hues to create three beauty looks to keep you festive no matter what the occasion. Got a kitschy Christmas-sweater party? A glam fundraiser? We’ve got all the bases (and faces!) covered.

Step 2: Apply a medium, matte-brown eyeshadow in a half-moon shape following the natural crease of the eye. Smudge the same shadow just underneath the lower lash line.

Step 4: Using a gel eyeliner, line the eye starting with a thin line in the inside corner and getting gradually thicker toward the outer edge.
Pro Tip: Try using short brush strokes for a smoother line and add a slight wing for a more dramatic look.

Step 5: Fill in brows using an angle brush and a shadow one or two shades lighter than your natural hair color.

Step 7: To play up glowy skin, sweep a shimmery champagne highlighter across the cheekbone and down the bridge of the nose. When applying blush, choose a light peach shade and keep the color concentrated on the apples of the cheeks.
