In case the holiday music dominating the airwaves hadn’t already clued you in — the glitzy season is here, folks. And, with the merrymaking in full swing, many of us find our calendars quickly filling with an insane range of holiday functions. From friendly gatherings to formal galas, there is plenty of cause for celebration. But, even if you finally — and we mean finally — found that perfect party dress, you might still be asking …what about my face?

Lucky for us, San Francisco makeup artist Marisa Perel pulled from the season’s hottest trends and hues to create three beauty looks to keep you festive no matter what the occasion. Got a kitschy Christmas-sweater party? A glam fundraiser? We’ve got all the bases (and faces!) covered.

Step 7: To play up glowy skin, sweep a shimmery champagne highlighter across the cheekbone and down the bridge of the nose. When applying blush, choose a light peach shade and keep the color concentrated on the apples of the cheeks.
