We’re not exactly ones for overly sweet embellishments. Bows, pearls, and ruffles are lovely, but we like them used thoughtfully and in unexpected ways. Which is perhaps why the latest ruffles trend has us torn. Undeniably flirtatious, but quirky to boot, the anemone neckline — what we like to call it since it resembles the flowers of the same name — makes serious waves that engulf the entire neckline of dresses and tops. 

Sure, bigger is not always better, but in the case of these of-the-moment decorative flaps, perhaps we have actually found the perfect way to take the loud-and-proud ruffle for a sartorial spin…without getting uncomfortably frilly. You tell us: Does the anemone neckline sink or swim?
