My Favorite Products Of

Hello everyone!

I hope you guys are doing well. I wasn’t planning to write a post on my favorite products of 2014 but I finally came to the conclusion that I should write one. I tried several different products last year, some of them were good while some were bad.

Have a look at my picks:-

1. Sunblock – Pharmaceris’ Sun Protect Hydro Lipid & Protective Face Cream

All of this started two years back when I went to see Dr. Gohar Alam (my dermatologist), he told me that my skin is completely damaged and I need to take care of it or it’ll get worse. I got worried when I heard him saying this and I didn’t know what to do since I can’t just stay at home. I’m a student of Karachi University and my department is pretty far from the entrance gate, I have no option but to walk. I told him all of my issues and he suggested me a sunblock. Also, he asked me to cover my face and hands with the help of an umbrella. I did what he said and my skin started getting better, a LOT better. I’m not tanned, I don’t have any skin issues except for acne which is a common issue among young adults. Mr. Alam often changes my sunblock without telling me why. The one I have shown above was prescribed last year. I must admit that it’s definitely better than the previous one. What I’m trying to say is that you must use a sunblock if you want your skin to stay fresh and undamaged. Back in 2013, I wrote a post about how important sunscreens are. (Read it here)
Also, kindly comment below if you want me to review this sunblock. However, I won’t prefer you to go for this one since it’s specifically prescribed for my skin. You need to have an appointment with your dermatologist. Trust me, he/she will recommend you the best available sunscreen for your skin.
2. Face powder – Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Shine Free Cake Powder
I used to be a big fan of Catrice skin finish compact powder but I wanted to try something new and unique so I got really excited when I heard about Maybelline’s newly launched pressed powders. Maybelline is one my favorite makeup brands so I wasted no time and ordered one for me. Maybelline’s clear smooth all in one shine free cake powder conceals my imperfections and has SPF 25 P++. You might like it if you’re skincare freak like me. I’m so happy with this product and I’ll be repurchasing it for sure.
3. Mascara – L’Oreal’s Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara

I love L’Oreal! To be very honest, I read a lot of reviews about this product before ordering one for me. I’m a big fan of anime and Japanese dolls, I love how Japanese people create huge eyes of their cartoon/comic characters. The term ‘Miss Manga’ instantly caught my eye, I had a strong feeling that this mascara is going to be a big hit so I wasted no time and got one for myself. L’Oreal Miss Manga mascara comes in a cute packaging and it works well on my lashes. Over all, it’s a good mascara.

4. Eyeliner – Maybelline’s Colossal Kajal in Extra Black
When it comes to the liners, I always go for different brands. I’ve tried several different liners but this particular eyeliner is one of my favorites. Let’s talk about the days when I’m extremely lazy in the morning and I don’t even feel like applying a lip balm even when my lips are badly chapped. In one of those lazy days it gets hard for me to apply a gel eyeliner with the help of an angular brush so I always go for Maybelline Colossal Kajal. Just a soft/smudged line starting from the outer corners to my lower lash line can make me look wide awake.
5. Lip balm # 1 – Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me
This lip balm is my most frequently used lip product, I just can’t stop using it ever since I came to know about it. I still remember the way I was looking for it when it came out in stores last year. The one I am using nowadays is my second tube of Baby lips. It is a tinted lip balm that hydrates my lips and has SPF 20 as well.
6. Lip balm # 2 – Maybelline Baby Lips Electro in Strike a Rose
Are you a fan of lip balms? If yes, then you should definitely try this one. I don’t like pink shades but this lip balm is a winner for me. Let’s talk about the days when I have my exams going on and can’t even think of wearing makeup so I simply go for baby lips electro. It gives me a cute light pink glossy pout. Also, it smells like a chewing gum which is a plus point. Over all, baby lips electro is a good product.
7. Lipstick # 1 – Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Latte Beige
Back in 2014, I really wanted to try a nude/natural shade. I visited Naheed and tried so many lipsticks from several different brands but finally came to the conclusion that I should go for this one. The texture of this lipstick is rich and creamy, it moisturizes my lips pretty well which is definitely a plus point. Trust me guys, this lipstick is worth a try. I’d prefer you to grab a few of your favorite shades since Maybelline is offering a lot of different colors starting from nude/natural to vampy/dark.
8. Lipstick # 2 – Etude Lipstick in MAT O540PA
I’m totally in love with this lipstick. Read my review here.
9. Blusher – Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Pop of Pink
I’m a big fan of Rimmel and I love this product. Read my review here.
10. Face mask – Himalaya Herbals Neem Pack

When it comes to the face masks, I trust no other brand but Himalaya. Ladies, it really works on acne prone/oily skin – it removes dirt & oil, and leaves my skin feeling nourished, clean and smooth. To be very honest, I prefer herbal products and home remedies over everything else. Also, I really like the fact that it’s extremely cheap. You get 75 ml for PKR 250, so what are you waiting for? Get one for yourself.
11. Lotion – The Bodyshop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion
This is the best skincare product I’ve ever tried. Keep an eye out for my upcoming posts if you want to know more about this product.
