Listening to the inner voice

What is this inner voice that we all have?? In conversation with a friend he mentioned that sometime we ignore the inner voice that guides us. His remark was in context with particular food and how it affects him, which he regrets later on. The inner guide is reminding him that this food is not suitable for his body, he ignores this voice and later realizes what this voice was saying……..

We can attribute many reasons for our behavior. Is it because we are stimulated or distracted by our senses, or the surroundings and their impact. Distractions and temptations are a contributor in not being tuned in to the inner self and guidance.

As I sit, nestled amongst the greenery, and nature in the rain forest, there is a great opportunity to tune into the inner being, here each moment can be savored in the existence, through the inner being; as life is not led in a rushed momentum, led by the speeding thoughts.

Sounds of nature align our energy and creates an awareness, with a centered state of being. In this centered state, tuning in to oneself and to those around is as easy as flowing water. If we allow ourselves to experience this state of of awareness, achieved by any action or inaction, it shuts out the distractions of the mind. Hobbies are one way to bring us in to this state. What happens is sometimes referred to as being “in the flow” or “in our zone”. The idea is to take the opportunity to invoke or be in this state at all times. Meditation practitioners, are known to achieve this state, as they go about their daily lives, being with the doing and doing with the being.

Tu Eres Mi Otro Yo – (You Are My Other Self). A Mayan concept of unity, we learn to be ourselves through our relationships with others.
