The two daily sessions at Rancho Margot continue to bring new people, new energy and new learning experience for me as a teacher/facilitator of the sessions. Often I am asked the following question: "do you plan your sessions?" or "how do you know what you will be teaching in a session?" ………….I don’t plan the yoga sessions or the sequencing, it flows from the energy of the participants, each morning and afternoon there are new guests of the Rancho, and those guests who return either looking for a similar experience as the previous session, or they come back after a day of being out horse back riding, kayaking, hiking etc. and need some restorative sessions. The more challenging sessions, as the teacher or facilitator, are those where we have a mixed group,of advanced yoga pratitioners, beginners to yoga and a combination of no prior yoga experience, with no knowledge of Englsh, all in one group.
In the past three months at Rancho Margot, my own practise, and teaching has gone beyond the "edge", as I find new boundaries to expand the asanas and new depths to dive and go deeper into the meditation.
This morning the two girls, who yesterday commented on how beautiful their practise was, looked up at me and said, as many others have done before them, "this place has some beautiful energy, there is a community spirit around"……..and the meaning of "yoga", with the union and flow of energies, becomes clear; with each moment an eternity and an eternity in each moment.. — Tu Eres Mi Otro Yo – (You Are My Other Self). A Mayan concept of unity, we learn to be ourselves through our relationships with others.
