On the opening day of first test match, Pakistan were 219 for four by the close after Younis scored his 25th Test hundred and made 83-runs with Misbah-ul-Haq for the fourth wicket partnership on Wednesday.
The opening pair collapsed early after Johnson and Peter Siddle had cut Pakistan to 7-2. Younis had to come to crease during the fourth over of the day and revived Pakistan by adding 108 runs for the third wicket with Azhar Ali (53), defying Australia for nearly 3-1/2 hours.
