After leading the series with 2-0, Australia will face India in the third test match at Melbourne on Friday.

Australia are currently in the lead after some 4th day heroics from their bowlers in Brisbane in second test and also an internal error in the Indian team that lead to a batting collapse. Australia love the Boxing Day Test and it is an opportunity for Shane Watson to score some runs since he owns an incredible Boxing Day record. The under fire Shane Watson has got the backing of many players saying that he is hitting the ball as well as anybody in the nets but he must start scoring runs in the middle and eliminate his knack of getting out in cheap circumstances. The likely Aussies line-up will include: 1 Chris Rogers, 2 David Warner, 3 Shane Watson, 4 Steven Smith (capt), 5 Shaun Marsh, 6 Joe Burns, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Ryan Harris, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 Nathan Lyon.

On the other hands, India have no other option than to gear up now and save the series loss as they do have the necessary talent but need to devise some reasonable strategy to do so. Shikhar Dhawan had struggled before his 2nd innings in Brisbane and he came under fire for not coming in at the start of Day 4 despite being hit on the wrist in the nets that morning which lead to a batting collapse. The probable Indian squad will include: 1 M Vijay, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli, 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Rohit Sharma, 7 MS Dhoni (capt,wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar/Varun Aaron, 10 Umesh Yadav, 11 Ishant Sharma.
