Now this is a team that promises some good music in the offering. Tiger Shroff [Heropanti, Baaghi] and Remo D'Souza [F.A.L.T.U., ABCD, ABCD 2] have enjoyed a good success rate as far as the music of their films is concerned and Jacqueline Fernandez too has quite a few chartbusters to her credit (latest being 'Sau Tarah Ke'). Moreover, with Sachin-Jigar at the helm of affairs, who have more often than not come up with different, yet exciting tunes, you expect a rollicking soundtrack in the offering. A team of lyricists comes together in the form of Vayu, Raftaar, Priya Saraiya and Mayur Puri.

  MUSIC

It is a thumping beginning to the soundtrack with Raftaar, Mansheel Gujral and Tanishkaa coming together for the 'Title Track'. A Punjabi-Hindi-English track which has an unconventional flow to it and is unpredictable in the way it maneuvers in its four and a half minute duration, it has a good mix of beats, rhythm, singing and arrangements coming together, hence resulting in a cocktail affair which can be expected to heat up the dance floor whenever it plays. Entertaining right through its playing time, this Vayu and Raftaar written song is the one to be played at a high volume.

  It is an altogether different stage and setting for the song that follows, 'Toota Jo Kabhi Tara'. A beautiful number that has a magical setting to it and totally justifies the point of the film's narrative for which it has been put together, 'Toota Jo Kabhi Tara' boasts of some beautiful poetic lyrics by Priya Saraiya. What makes this song a complete package is the coming together of an experienced singer Atif Aslam with a newcomer Sumedha Karmahe. While former is in great form and sings with his heart on, the one who surprises is Sumedha who has such an ice cold voice that it makes you instantly fall in love with it.

  The song that follows has Atif Aslam and Priya Saraiya come together again as the singer and lyricist. However, the stage and setting is entirely different from 'Toota Jo Kabhi Tara'. Instead, the one that plays this time around, 'Khair Mangda', is a sad song about a man praying to God so that the one he loves is well taken care. In fact this song comes across as an interruption of sorts in the flow of the album which was quite upbeat and romantic all this while. Perhaps its placement towards the later part of the album may have been better.

  It is back to fun, frolic and celebrations with 'Bhangda Pa'. The song has Vishal Dadlani leading charge as the singer and the impact is felt right from the first note. Written by Mayur Puri, this one makes you tap your feet instantly and the coming together of singers like Divya Kumar and Asees Kaur along with Vishal Dadlani only makes it an all the more enjoyable outing. One pretty much expects a rollicking video for this song as it deserves nothing but an eye catchy spectacular show. A winner all the way!

  What follows next is a quintessential Sachin-Jigar outing, what with the composer duo also appearing as singers for 'Beat Pe Booty'. Written by Priya Saraiya, this one is as groovy as it gets and while you acclimatize yourself to the sound, there is a surprise in store every 30 seconds, hence making it one of the most unique songs to be playing on the Bollywood scene today. Vayu chips in as well for this song that has Kanika Kapoor as the only female voice on the scene. With Jacqueline Fernandez going ahead with a full-on-show for 'Beat Pe Booty', you know this one is going to be one 'seeti-taali' affair in theaters.

  The album concludes with Priya Saraiya written 'Raj Karega Khalsa' and it is just the right culmination to the album. Daler Mehndi and Navraj Hans come together for a forceful outing in this thumping track that can well be expected to play in the climax when Tiger Shroff takes on the villain Nathan Jones. With strong Punjabi references to it and the name of the God being taken aloud, expect this one to have a good impact on screen when it blazes aloud in theatres.

  OVERALL

A Flying Jatt boasts of a good entertaining score that has a mix of dance, love, devotional, celebration and situational songs. With a couple of instant chartbusters doing the trick, this one should fit in perfectly well with the theme, mood, stage and setting of the film.
