Now this one has to be one of the most unique titles for a film. Sunshine Music Tours and Travels isn't something that you would imagine spinning together for a film's title but the makers have done that indeed here. Since there is word 'music' in there, one expects composers Adam Avil & Eddie Avil to come up with something reasonably remarkable at the least. Siddhant Kaushal is the lyricist.

  MUSIC

Most of the artists roped in for the film are new entrants in the industry and this is evidenced in the opening track 'Main Jee Raha Hoon' itself. Anish Nair goes into a fun-n-frolic mode with this song which pretty much makes one assume that it would be picturised while a journey is in progress and the protagonist is all excited about the free life that he is living.

Same is the case with the song that follows as well, 'Phir Se Udd Chala'. This one pretty much follows the theme of the song preceding it though this time around the focus is more on melody. Yet again, this one is expected to play on during the protagonist's tryst with life and should fit in well as a background piece. There is certain sense of honesty that is there in this song which makes for a pleasant hearing.

The fun element comes in a little later in the soundtrack though with Jaspreet Jasz going full throttle for 'Chamdi Boys'. A 'masti' song which is the best of the lot and has some good coming together of rhythm, lyrics and singing, it deserves to be promoted well since it has potential to become big if picturised well. In fact if only a major young star would have featured in there, the song would have been a hit already.

Things turn a tad sober though immediately after, what with Anand Bhaskar singing 'Na Ho Paayi' for Shailendra Singh who brings himself in as a guest lyricist. This is one of those quintessential songs that arrive in the middle of the second half of a film's narrative. Though it isn't a bad composition, one just hopes that it doesn't hamper the fun feel of the film. Thankfully though, it is of a very short duration.

Last to arrive is 'No Sex Please Remix' and it is for the first time in the album that one hears a female voice in the form of Soniya Biriji. Newcomer Sajid is the composer, lyricist and singer of this club song and even though one almost expects the word 'daaru' to strike from some nook or corner. Well, that does happen down the line as 'Black Label' and 'Talli' make a belated appearance.

  OVERALL

Sunshine Music Tours and Travels has some decent situational music in there and one hopes there would be good promotion to support in some visibility as well.
