Two-time Nova Scotia Music Award nominee, Jenny MacDonald, recently signed on with HMP Recording & Development – an independent record label based in Vancouver, BC. Touring 100+ shows each year, MacDonald is no stranger to life on the road. At a live performance in Toronto, Roots Music Canada claimed, “Jenny MacDonald…appears to be a sweet, young, frail thing but she pulls a big voice out of her well-worn boots and a lot of sound from her over-sized guitar…”

Bye, Bye, Mr. Bluesman, MacDonald’s sophomore release was nominated for Blues Album of the Year at the Nova Scotia Music Awards, and AVRadio claims it is “…a trip into the best part of music, rock, blues, roots you name it, all perfectly packed into one song.” Since the release, MacDonald has shared the stage with East Coast famed musicians such as Gordie Sampson, Charlie A’Court, Garrett Mason, and co-wrote the charted #1 East Coast Countdown summer anthem, “Flip Flops” by Nova Scotia’s famed reggae-party band, Slowcoaster. www.jennymacdonald.com

MacDonald signed on with HMP artist development in September 2012 and after the company national tour she was fast tracked to the record label by December. MacDonald will be joining the HMP national tour this June.
