A former Alberta teacher is convicted of sex charges. 70 year old, Warren Fertig used to be a school teacher in 1970s. According to RCMP say they started investigating after receiving a complaint in May 2010.

Allegedly, the indicted was once an instructor in Red Deer school who had an inappropriate sexual bond with a student in 1975 and 1977. The young girl was roughly 12 year old when the relationship started and 15 when it ended.

Thus, Fertig of Red Deer is charged with rape and sexual intercourse with an underage female.

However, the man has been bailed. The court trial is scheduled in Red Deer provincial court on Nov. 3.
