Grand Falls woman dies in a fatal vehicle collision

The District 10 RCMP is investigating a collision between two vehicles that claimed the life of one woman. On February 2, 2012, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to the crash on Route 130 in the Grand Falls Local Service District.1

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 58-year-old woman from the Grand Falls Local Service District, died at the scene.  Two other men, who were with her in the vehicle, were taken to the hospital with severe injuries. There were five people in the other vehicle. They were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released.

The name of the victim is not being released until her family has been properly notified.
