“Mr. Kony is a terrible man; it does get much worse and worse. I was in Amsterdam airport and seeing six children watch this video for 45 minutes is vital and to get children excited and mobilize about a course is a good thing,” Coomaraswamy said.

She said that when children are found in the search for Joseph Kony, caution should be taken and children should be handed over to the UN and NGOs in order to reunite them with their parents.

 “When you say arrest Kony it means take military action. So, what we are concerned about is that a lot of people fighting with Kony are children. If any military action is taken it must be done while protecting the children that is absolutely crucial,” Coomaraswamy stressed.

“We want the national army (SPLA) to be accountable to the Geneva Convention,” she explained.     
 
The Lord’s Resistance Army activities have gone down but the African Union will be deploying forces in Western Equatoria to hunt Kony.  

Joseph Kony is said to have caused grief and sorrow in Uganda, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic. 

He has been fighting the government of Uganda for more than two decades.
