South Sudanese Minister for Environment Alfred Lado Gore. [Gurtong/ Waakhe Simon Wudu]South Sudanese Minister for Environment Alfred Lado Gore has said the crackdown on corruption in the country requires combined efforts both locally and internationally.
“The best thing for the international community to do is to help President Salva Kiir by freezing the accounts of those who have looted public funds”, Gore said.
He added that much of the country’s embezzled monies are kept in the Diaspora, majorly the US and Europe.
“If the international community condemns and imposes sanctions on South Sudan it will not be the President or government officials who will suffer but the entire country”, Gore said.
