The Vice Chancellor Professor Aggrey Abate has been quoted on Radio Miraya advising the students to collect their identity cards from their respective colleges.

The university was closed in April after tribal clashes erupted following a football match.

Speaking to the media last week in Juba, Abate announced the dismissal of about 500 indisciplined students who defied orders to have them vacate female hotels.

The students had opted to remain in the hostels even after the university was closed in April.

“The students illegally occupying the girl hostels remain dismissed. Appeal for their re-admission will be considered individually”, said Abate.

He disclosed that the dismissed students continued to disobey the administrative order issued in June to vacate the hostels.

However, the affected students who doubted their formal dismissal have told Radio Miraya that they are waiting for an official letter from the university to confirm their expulsion.
