The committee which is under Chairpersonship of Hon. Beatrice Abber is expected to present its work to the August House next week for deliberations after thorough scrutiny.

The President’s speech always during reopening of the parliament after every recess becomes the government policy statement.

President Kiir on Tuesday presented an elaborate speech during his reopening of the parliament. He torched a number of issues both on economy, security, agriculture, infrastructural development and oil.

However, the leader of the Minority at the SSNA Hon. Onyoti Adigo challenged his speech saying he has no clear roadmap on tackling insecurity which is the biggest challenge hindering development in the country.

Onyoti said the President should have come up with a proposed road map on how to tackle the issue of the rebel leader David Yau Yau who is currently terrorizing in Jonglei creating critical insecurity situation in the country.
