Gajang said in the meeting they asked to know the whereabouts of the CDF which the central government allocates to Pigi County.
The Paramount Chief of Pigi County James Machar Jock said they would forward the issue of CDF use and management to the state high authority for debate if the community members give them a go ahead.
A team led by the Machar has been selected by the community to meet their Members of Parliament (MPs) in Juba to find out exactly how the CDF Funds are allocated and used for.
The CDF project started since 2010 but according to Pigi community members, there is no developmental activity to show for it.
Gajang also said: “The car allocated for the county is packed there in the parliament yet and the money is there in the bank according to the statement given to us by the MP.”
The councilor said about 650,000 South SSP CDF money is on the accounts of Pigi County. “I have knowledge of the county only. The money allocated for 2010 is 650, 000 SSP. This is what I know for Pigi County according to the statement given to me by the chairperson of CDF and coordinator of Jonglei State,” Gajang said.
“We will not give up, we are not determined yet because we have not known the position of the MP at the moment. We will still come and approach him because the county is for all of us,” he said.
The CDF was ideally tailored to initiate and develop health, school and water infrastructure projects in the counties.
