Upper Nile State Gets New Government in Sudan

The new Upper Nile State Governor Brigadier Simon Kun Puoch has named his new state government.

The new appointments were announced last Saturday at the State Secretariat in Malakal.

“In accordance with the powers vested on me under article 100, Sections (1) and (2) Subsections (a) in the Constitution of Upper Nile State, and in consultation with of the Upper Nile State, and approval from the Upper Nile State Legislative Assembly and the relevant article in the constitution of Southern Sudan, I, Brigadier General Simon Kun Puoch, Governor of Upper Nile State do hereby decree the appointment of Eleven (11) Cabinet Ministers of the Government of Upper Nile State”, read a decree by the State Governor.

Also appointed were County Commissioners and Advisors.
