He said for the improvement of delivery of basic services, there is no compromise on the fight against corruption.

He went as further stressing that the move has to intensify up to the grassroots level, referring to government structures at the local level.

Today he said the fight shall not only be dealing with the executives, but covers all the three arms of the government.

“We cannot achieve any development if we encourage the corrupt use of public funds. This applies to all the three branches of the government,” he told legislatures, executive and the judiciary of both the States and National governments who are in Juba attending a forum aimed at bolstering good governance.

“We shall continue to fight this issue until we remove it in our institutions,” said the President.

Last month in a move to demonstrate his fight against corruption, Kiir suspended the National Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and that of Cabinet Affairs through a decree on allegations that they are involved in corrupting some nearly $8million US Dollars.

Activists and observers have commended the President on the move taken, saying though it is the first time the government is taking this move, more efforts are still needed to wipe out the sinister.
