The state residents are registering thanks to different petroleum companies, for their quick move to address the recent fuel shortage.

Already, two Warsam and HASS filling stations have availed fuel supplies though it is not yet clear of whether other fuel stations in the region will follow suit.

HASS Company transports fuel from Kenya’s Port Mombasa via Kampala to South Sudan through Nimule entry point to Juba then to the states.

Violence in Juba caused high fuel prices leading to scarcity in the region.

Transport had been paralysed as several filling stations in Eastern Equatoria State lack fuel supplies.

The state residents had expressed disappointments as they asked the government to improve the security situation and normalize supplies from Juba to states.
