In a monthly briefing with Health and Nutrition Cluster in Kuacjok Hon. Paul Dhel Gum observed that state health services in Gogrial East and Tonj East counties have improved especially in area of clean drinking water due to collaboration with partners.

Hon. Dhel welcomed the State Health partners and commended their efforts to improve their stance as health and nutrition services remained a high demand to the citizens in the state’s six counties.

Dhel also appealed to the health allies to keep the spirit of partnership and team work in health services as it is a collective responsibility.

“Please treat our staff well. And don’t sleep in luxurious places and the county Surveillance officer remains in ‘tukul’ (hut),” said the minister.

He urged the partners to also consider the situation of their workers so that services are delivered without negligence. “So please let them enjoy the same privilege so that all of you can
speak the same language,” he said.

He further asked the partners to come his office and the directorate any time for any concerns.

Health cluster meetings are regular meetings conducted to address key issues on surveillance and Emergency preparedness, Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Nutrition and Partners activities updates in the counties.

This activity is being supported by the World Health Organization (WHO).
