He said that people should take advantage of the relative peace to cultivate on a large scale, to satisfy their families and those away from the state. During a telephone interview, the Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the people of Ezo County for their continuing positive response to the call he made earlier this year to cultivate, noting that some residents are already harvesting their ground nuts and maize.

Albert further advised WES people not to participate in the current violence affecting parts of the country. He urged the youth to avoid involvement in cheap politics because this will lead to increased loss and bloodshed among the young, who should instead be the role models of the young nation.

He also called for unity among South Sudan’s people, advising all to build a sense of nationalism and love for one another. Albert further urged all citizens to embrace the peace process and join hands to support the team negotiating for peace in Ethiopia.

Reporting on development progress in the county, the Commissioner disclosed that the mobile networks MTN and Vivacell are erecting their antennae, which will boost communications and allow people to monitor the security situation around the county.

He also reported that the installation of a water system by the United Nations organization, Habitat, is ongoing . He anticipated that the project would ease the problem of water shortages during the dry season and reduce the burden, on women, of walking long distances for domestic water.

Finally Commissioner Albert confirmed there are no reports or threats from the LRA fights in the last three month the security of the county is general calm
