There were 38 members including the Speaker in the house.

9 members out of the total present members voted against Joseph Zackaria Garang to become DeputyGovernor while 28 members voted in his favor. 

It was first agreed before the voting that the average requirement needed to pass the vote was 29 votes out of the total of 38 members present in the hall.

While the State Legislative Assembly members raised concerns about the Finance Minister Ms. Lilia Rizik Velentino.

The legislative Assembly said that the Finance minister has been charged with misconduct.

In 2014 the Chairperson for Finance and Economic rested an urgent matter summoning the Finance minister to appear before the August house to answer questions about the budget implementation but failed to appear before legislatives.

The Legislative assembly did not reach an agreement if to endorse the Finance Minister or not.

However, the chairperson for the vetting committee, James Giir Wol told reporters that after putting together many factors into consideration, the speaker and some legislative members wrote a letter to the Governor to allow for the swearing in of the Cabinet members.
