JUBA May 18, 2015 [Gurtong] – President Salva Kiir Mayardit is in Angola’s capital Luanda to attend the Great Lakes Regional heads of states summit.

“The regional summit in Luanda is expected to tackle the crisis in South Sudan’s conflict, Central Africa Republic and recent failed military coup attempted in Burundi capital Bujumbura against President Pierre Nkurunziza as well as the alarming terrorism in the regions,” said Awan Gai Riak Minister in the office of the President.

The regional summit is expected to take place today with hope from the African heads of states to discuss and bring down the situation in South Sudan.

Awad said the Summit of the heads of states will also discuss the way forward to finding a lasting recommendation to the conflict South Sudan adding that the President will in his visit to Angola discuss bilateral issues with his counterparts.
