Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident in the 900 block of the West Loop North (West Interstate Highway 610) about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (June 5).

The suspect, Louis M. Morones Jr. (H/m, DOB: 12-27-58) faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.

The male victim, 47, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer E. Morgado reported:

Morones, along with his passenger (the victim), was driving a gray Nissan Frontier southbound on the West Loop North service road when he failed to stay in his lane.
