Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in a fatal traffic accident at 411 Crosstimbers about 8:50 a.m. on Sunday (June 20).

The victim, Maria Hernandez, 57, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer O. Lewis reported:

Mrs. Hernandez was sweeping her driveway and standing in the street’s bike lane when she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Witnesses reported the vehicle was a gray, early 1990’s Honda or Nissan passenger car driven by a white or Hispanic man in his 50s.

The investigation is continuing.
