Houston police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide incident at 910 Adele about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday (June 22).

The victim, Gloria Gonzales, 40, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, William Lee Roe, (w/m, DOB: 11-4-69), of Houston, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer D. Gunter reported:

Patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in-progress call and discovered Roe lying next to a car in the parking lot. Inside the car, officers found the body of Ms. Gonzales. The investigation later revealed that Roe was Gonzales’ husband, however, the couple had separated.

Witnesses told investigators Gonzales was sitting in the driver’s seat talking with Roe, who was standing by the car door. During the conversation, Roe pulled a pistol and shot Gonzales several times and then shot himself. Ms. Gonzales’ daughter, who was in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the shooting, was not injured.
