Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4701 Almeda Road about 11:50 p.m. last Friday (Aug. 6).

The victim, Albert Randle III, 23, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D. Giannavola and Officer N. Wackman reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the C. Phil’s Bar at 4701 Almeda Rd. Upon arrival, officers located Mr. Randle, who had been shot in the chest. Paramedics were called and transported Randle to the hospital.

A possible suspect was located and questioned at the scene. After consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, no charges have been filed at this time.
