Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11650 West Bellfort about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 19).

The victim, Theodore Mitsakos, 49, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Biggs and Senior Police Officer K. Carr reported:

Mr. Mitsakos was traveling westbound on West Bellfort when he was pursued by two males in a black pickup truck. The two males began shooting at Mitsakos’ white Dodge pickup truck and struck Mitsakos. Mitsakos then lost control of the Dodge, struck another vehicle, and then struck the side of an apartment complex.

The suspects are described only as two light-skinned black or dark-skinned Hispanic males last seen westbound on West Bellfort in a black Chevrolet or Ford pickup truck.
