Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 3505 Elysian Street about 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 20).

The victim, Sahib Ali Khan, 58, of Cypress, suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Johnston and Officer J. Harvey reported:

Mr. Khan was inside his store alone when an unknown male suspect entered the store, which was closed for remodeling. At some point, Khan was stabbed. The suspect then took property and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

At this time, it is believed the motive for the stabbing is robbery.
