Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 5847 Southington about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 30).

The victim, David Thomas, 50, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Burton, K. Deese and Officer N. Wackman reported:

HPD patrol officers were flagged down by the Mr. Thomas’ brother in the 5800 block of Southington. Thomas’ brother stated he had not seen his brother, David, in two days and when he went to check on Thomas’ condition, he found Thomas deceased in the living room of his residence. Thomas lived in a smaller dwelling behind the main house at the above address.

The investigation is continuing.
