Fatal traffic accident at 700 Link Road claims a man’s life

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 700 Link Road about 11:10 p.m. on Saturday (September 27).  

The male victim, 63, was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer J. Best reported:  

The victim was riding a bicycle westbound on Link Road when he was struck by a pickup truck of unknown make or model.  The pickup, also traveling westbound, did not stop and fled the scene.
