Houston police are investgiating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 400 Jensen about 2:35 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 6).

The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer A. Mares reported:

The suspect was driving a black Toyota Camry southbound on Jensen when the vehicle struck the victim, standing on the west sidewalk.  The victim, working with a survey company, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The male driver of the Camry fled the scene on foot and is currently at-large.
