Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced today that an arrest has been made in the homicide of 19 year-old Jamal Wilson.

On Sunday, November 14, 2010, at approximately 12:30 am, units from the Fifth District responded to the unit block of P Street, NW, to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival they located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital where the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at 2:40 pm, members of the Homicide Branch and the Fifth District arrested 19 year-old Kwan Kearney of Northeast, Washington DC, and charged him with First Degree Murder while Armed in the shooting death of Jamal Wilson

  1. It’s messed up it had to happen like that, because Jamal & Kwan was friends just early that day. But all you can do is pray from Jamal family and hop things will get better.
